Job summary

Toyota of Melbourne is seeking a Rental Car Agent to support our loaner fleet and customer service efforts. This role requires an outgoing personality, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to accurate documentation and safety checks. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities include coordinating prep and return processes for loaner vehicles, ensuring all paperwork is complete, and assisting the Rental Car Manager with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram form instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Rental Car Manager to prep loaner vehicles (inside/outside).
• Check loaners in for damage and fuel before loaning to customers.
• Ensure documentation for all loaner contracts is complete (DL, proof of insurance, deductible deposit).
• Escort customers to loaner cars and perform pre-scan walk-arounds for damage and fuel.
• Perform return walk-arounds and collect signatures and any deductible payments.
• Assist Rental Car Manager with additional duties as required.

Job Description:

Toyota of Melbourne has an immediate opportunity for a Rental Car Agent. Must have an outgoing personality, the ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced environment. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate with Rental Car Manager to have loaner vehicles cleaned inside and out prior to loaning To customer.
• Ensure loaner vehicles are checked in properly for damage and fuel usage. This must be performed prior to customer leaving the service center.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation requirements are met for all loaner contracts (i.e. valid DL, valid proof of insurance, deductible deposit charged if applicable)
• Escort customers to the loaner car. Perform a walk around, cover preexisting damage, and fuel levels. Obtain all document signatures required.
• Once loaner car is returned, perform a return walk around, review any new damage and fuel level. Obtain all return document signature required, as well as any payment for deductible/damage/s to loaner car.
• Assist Rental Car Manager with other duties as required.
