Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Renewal Underwriter to join our growing team in Missoula, MT or Portland, OR. The role reviews renewal applications, assists with new business, and underwrites or brokers renewals to fit carrier guidelines.

You will work with underwriters and brokers to rate accounts, use inspection data, and secure timely policy issuance, while mentoring processors and expanding relationships with agents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of insurance experience, two years in underwriting support.
• Proficient with MS Office and underwriting workflow.
• Experience with excess and surplus lines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review renewal applications and assist with new business to evaluate risk, classify, and rate.
• Underwrite or broker renewal accounts per carrier guidelines and issue policies promptly.
• Provide guidance to processors and trainers to ensure complete and accurate submissions.
• Market with retail agencies to grow the book of business and maintain relationships.
