Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a senior operations leader to manage wind farm(s) and solar facilities within a defined geographic area with total capacity under 600 MW and a $10-12M operating budget. You will direct employees and contractors, ensure safe, reliable and profitable plant performance, and coordinate with landowners, regulators and site staff.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising maintenance, overseeing safety programs, budget development, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of power plant ops experience.
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience including operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Supervisory or managerial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control plant activities safely and economically.
• Oversee safety and health programs and enforce safe work conditions.
• Develop budgets, manage expenditures, and coordinate with officials and partners.
