Job summary

Roeslein & Associates is seeking a Renewables Controller to lead RNG trading desk accounting for BCM Energy, LLC within a broader renewables platform. You will bridge project-level accounting with corporate finance and chemistry between trading support and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting skills, experience in energy markets, and leadership to drive cross-functional collaboration and optimize financial processes for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance— ideally within energy trading, project development, or environmental commodities.
• Strong familiarity with financial reporting for commodity transactions and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for RNG trading and marketing activities, including revenue recognition, cost of sales, and intercompany transactions tied to project entities.
• Manage all A/R and A/P activities related to BCM Energy.
• Reconcile daily and monthly positions, invoices, and settlements from counterparties, pipelines, and environmental registries.
• Prepare monthly close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations specific to RNG accounting.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting and external auditors to ensure GAAP compliance.
