Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks an Intern - Renewables Engineering for May/June 2027 in Wisconsin. Hybrid remote/on-site work is available. The internship runs summer 2027 with potential part-time in fall.

Starting rate is $23.10/hour with paid holidays; travel to WI/MI/IA/IL sites may be required. Applicants should be enrolled in a four-year engineering program with a 2.8+ GPA, valid driver's license, and an interest in PV solar and wind projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with a graduation date after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Valid driver's license.
• Interest in Renewables, PV Solar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support PV Solar projects by observing field activities and updating equipment records.
• Assist with wind project operational performance and optimization.
• Review and revise technical documents and drawings.
• Perform ad hoc investigations of equipment issues.
• Use data to investigate solar and wind performance and reliability.
