Job summary

Repsol Renewables Services North America is seeking a motivated Capital Equipment Procurement Intern for a 12-week summer program in Downtown Houston. You will support sourcing, purchasing, and management of capital equipment used in renewable energy construction and operations.

The role collaborates with Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams to advance strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cost-saving initiatives. May 17, 2027–Aug 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle or similar platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Procurement team in sourcing and procuring capital equipment for renewable energy projects.
• Assist with development and execution of sourcing strategies for major equipment purchases and long-lead items.
• Conduct market research to identify equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
• Assist in preparing, distributing, and evaluating RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and bid packages.
• Analyze supplier quotations and support commercial evaluations and recommendations.
• Maintain supplier databases, pricing information, and procurement documentation.
• Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction to ensure equipment specs meet project requirements.
• Participate in supplier meetings, negotiations, and performance reviews.
• Support contract administration and monitor vendor compliance.
• Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support continuous improvement.
