Job summary

Grapevine Operating Company in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform tests and analyses in the renewable refinery laboratory. The role includes sample preparation and operating 20+ instruments to ensure accurate testing.

You will troubleshoot instruments, maintain logs and notebooks, follow GLP and SOPs, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Environmental teams to deliver timely results for products shipped to customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple tasks across teams and document results.
• Experience with lab equipment setup and chemical handling.
• Willingness to work overtime or evening shifts.
• Knowledge of GLP and SOP adherence.
• Familiarity with LIMS, data entry and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and analyses in the renewable refinery laboratory.
• Prepare samples and operate 20+ instruments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Maintain logs/notebooks and ensure safe operation of the facility.
• Assist with processing and evaluating samples for quality of products.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or related field

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
