Job summary

Westinghouse, through WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a Renewable Plant - Onboarding Engineer for a 1-year, W-2 contract in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. You will support onboarding of new renewable generation and BESS facilities into Power Generation Division operations and the NERC Compliance program.

Responsibilities include reviewing models, diagrams, and testing, and developing repeatable onboarding processes with automation using Python, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical/power systems engineering, utility operations, or managing power-industry projects (solar & BESS).

Responsibilities

• Manage and review engineering and NERC compliance evidence for onboarding renewable facilities.
• Review power system models and verify consistency with data, drawings, field settings and commissioning results.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, drawings, equipment specs and data for design verification.
• Assess MOD-related testing and model verification results to ensure accurate representations of installed facilities.
• Review control, inverter, protection, and relay settings and related studies.
• Develop automation and data processing workflows using Python, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Create dashboards to track onboarding status, evidence completeness, and project readiness.
• Integrate engineering activities with asset information and work management processes.
