RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to lead comprehensive land strategies for renewable energy projects in the South Region of the United States. You will negotiate land agreements, manage due diligence, and coordinate with legal and development teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective land assets.

The role requires strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of land-use regulations, with travel as needed to close deals and foster relationships.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, environmental science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, land management, or a combination thereof, with a strong background in renewables (solar, wind and battery storage) preferred.
• Knowledge of land-use regulations, permitting processes and real estate law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Working knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) and related land management software.
• Efficiency in ALTAMPS and SAP programs preferred.
• Working knowledge of land records, including title.
• Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Execute a comprehensive land acquisition strategy aligned with renewable energy project goals.
• Assist development to identify suitable land parcels through market analysis and site assessments.
• Contact and negotiate land acquisitions via leasing/purchase agreements and easements with favorable terms.
• Collaborate with legal teams to structure compliant land agreements.
• Conduct due diligence including title searches, environmental assessments, and permitting requirements.
• Evaluate landowner willingness to participate in renewable energy projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, communities, authorities and stakeholders.
• Educate landowners on storage and renewable energy project details.
