Job summary

Chevron is seeking a highly motivated Renewable Fuels Trader to join our Renewable Products team in Houston. The role focuses on identifying, executing, and optimizing renewable fuels trading opportunities to support Chevron's growing portfolio across North America and globally.

Responsibilities include developing trading strategies, managing positions in renewable diesel and biodiesel, and coordinating with trading, operations, scheduling, supply, risk, and finance teams to maximize value while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commodity trading, supply, optimization, or related energy markets.
• Experience with renewable fuels or refined products is preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute renewable products trading strategies to optimize value across physical and financial markets.
• Manage commercial positions in renewable diesel, biodiesel, blendstocks, and related products.
• Identify arbitrage, storage, blending, logistics, and market optimization opportunities.
• Analyze market fundamentals, regulatory developments, and pricing trends.
• Manage price exposure through hedging and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with schedulers, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure transaction execution.
• Build relationships with counterparties and industry participants.
• Support development of new markets, products, and opportunities.
• Monitor regulatory programs including renewable fuels and carbon markets.
