Job summary

HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking a Renewable Feedstock Trader to support feedstock procurement, trading execution, logistics coordination and risk management for our renewable diesel operations. The role includes market analysis, pricing administration, hedge coordination and supply chain execution for feedstocks such as soybean oil, used cooking oil, distillers corn oil and animal fats.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related experience in commodities, energy, agriculture, logistics, or related commercial activities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, agriculture, supply chain, energy commerce, or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with overall execution of renewable feedstock purchases, including spot and term transactions.
• Monitors market conditions, basis relationships, spreads, and pricing trends to adjust positions or buying strategies.
• Coordinates pricing events including flat price and basis pricing execution.
• Maintains internal position tracking and hedge reporting tools.
• Supports hedge execution and reconciliation to align physical and financial positions.
• Develops logistics plans and coordinates feedstock movements via truck and rail to multiple facilities.
• Interfaces with suppliers, carriers, plant personnel, and internal teams regarding shipments and scheduling.
• Drafts and manages trade confirmations and related documentation.
• Tracks contract performance and resolves invoicing or operational discrepancies.
• Assists in daily/weekly market summaries and commercial analysis.
• Supports development of internal tools for commercial and position tracking.
• Researches market conditions and communicates impacts to management.
• Supports compliance with commercial, operational, and safety procedures.
