Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago is offering a Summer 2027 Internship across engineering disciplines, including Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage. Interns will gain hands-on experience, work with industry-leading tools, and learn from leaders through weekly lunch-and-learns.

The program runs 10–12 weeks from late May/early June to August, with opportunities to visit power plants, participate in community outreach, and network across the organization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree with a Fall 2027–Summer 2028 graduation date.
• Majoring in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related).
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge with industry tools and gain hands-on professional experience.
• Engage with leaders and learn about the clean energy industry through lunch-and-learns.
• Visit nearby power plants and participate in site tours.
• Participate in the Volunteer Time Off program and network across the organization.
• Attend networking events and explore Chicago with fellow interns.
• Support engineering teams with project and design activities during the internship.
