Highlights

  • Build expertise across transferable tax credits, renewable project economics and transaction documentation.
  • Partner with senior professionals across tax, finance, legal, commercial and project development teams.
  • Join a high-calibre team that values intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Gain broad exposure to a rapidly evolving area of the renewable energy and tax markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the evaluation, structuring and execution of renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Build, maintain and review financial models used to assess project economics, tax credit value and transaction outcomes.
  • Review commercial agreements, transaction documents and supporting project information to identify key financial and tax considerations.
  • Assist with tax credit buyer and seller diligence, including the organisation and review of financial, operational and legal documentation.
  • Track transaction milestones, deliverables and open diligence items to help keep deals progressing towards closing.
  • Prepare internal analyses, transaction summaries, presentations and decision-support materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal tax, finance, legal, accounting, commercial and project development teams, as well as external advisers and counterparties.
  • Research renewable energy tax credit rules, market developments and transaction trends, and summarise findings clearly for the broader team.
  • Support process improvements, data management and reporting initiatives as the transaction platform continues to grow.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering or another highly analytical discipline.
  • Up to two years of relevant professional experience; strong recent graduates will also be considered.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to understand complex concepts quickly.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and an interest in developing financial modelling capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and follow-through across multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analysis to different audiences.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change as transactions develop.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative and willingness to ask thoughtful questions.
  • Interest in renewable energy, tax credits, project finance, capital markets or transaction execution; prior tax experience is helpful but not required.
