Job summary

Geronimo Power is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to develop, deliver, and continuously improve safety and technical training for field employees across its operating and construction portfolio. The role blends field Experience with adult-learning techniques to build technician capability, evaluate proficiency, and support safe work across the fleet.

Reporting to the Senior Training Manager within the EHS Department, you will deliver training in classroom, virtual, field, on-the-job, and

Qualifications

• At least five years of field experience in renewable generation operations and/or construction.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience translating complex technical information into clear, practical instruction for adult learners.
• Proven ability to assess performance and communicate qualification outcomes clearly.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training-administration skills.
• Ability to travel ~2–3 weeks per month and work safely at field locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and safety training in classroom, virtual, field, on-the-job, and simulator environments.
• Teach electrical and mechanical theory and equipment-specific content for safe operation and maintenance.
• Develop and update curricula, job aids, assessments, and practical exercises.
• Conduct competency evaluations; document results and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with Operations, Construction, EHS, and Engineering to validate training needs and incorporate lessons learned.
• Maintain qualification standards and evolve procedures for new technologies.
• Develop and maintain LOTO procedures in coordination with EHS and Engineering.
• Maintain training records, content, and version control per company requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and effective adult-learning practices.
