Job summary

RecruitGo seeks a Solution Architect to design technical and operational solutions for large-scale public-sector and utility clean-energy programs, translating client requirements into practical program designs covering DER, solar + storage, EVs, and EV charging infrastructure.

Remote contractor role with initial 6 months. Work 8 hours per day in US time zones, collaborating with finance/program teams to align scope, pricing, and delivery with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution development, program design, engineering, energy, infrastructure, or utility-related environments.
• Working knowledge of Solar/DER, Solar + battery storage, EVs, and EV charging infrastructure.
• Experience designing large-scale programs or operational solutions.
• Understanding of clean energy and sustainability concepts.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical program solutions.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs, solicitations, and client requirements to identify technical and operational needs.
• Design program-level solutions for: DER, Solar and battery storage, EV programs, EV charging infrastructure.
• Develop program delivery models, including staffing structures, operational workflows, technology requirements, incentive/rebate processing, and customer/program support processes.
• Develop technical approaches that address client requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for technical differentiation and develop solution concepts.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop scope and pricing inputs.
• Ensure technical solutions are aligned with proposed budgets and implementation requirements.
• Work with subject matter experts to validate technical approaches.

• Experience at firms such as Arcadis, WSP, AECOM, Stantec, Black & Veatch, Tetra Tech, ICF, or Guidehouse.
• Experience supporting proposal pricing or budget development.
• PMP, CAPM, or CF APMP.
