Job summary

Rachel Contracting is seeking a Renewable Energy Superintendent to oversee site grading and civil construction for industrial, solar, and wind energy projects across the Midwest and Central United States.

The role leads a field crew of 5–25, collaborates with subcontractors, ensures safety and schedule adherence, and supports procurement and project documentation. A strong safety mindset and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively in challenging environments.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple operations and priorities simultaneously.
• Commitment to fostering and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive with strong follow-through.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
• Travel as required to support project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform site grading and oversee civil construction for energy projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to plan work across multiple phases.
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with specs and schedules.
• Lead a field crew of approximately 5–25 personnel.
• Support material procurement, scheduling, and project documentation.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with project requirements.
