BEARConstruction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead renewable energy programs corporate-wide, overseeing plans, budgets, schedules, safety, people, and profitability across multiple projects.

You will mentor team members, manage client and vendor relationships, and drive throughput from preconstruction through closeout, delivering on time and within profit expectations.

TheSeniorProjectManager(SPM)-CorporateRenewableEnergyisresponsiblefortheoverallmanagement(plans,budgets,schedules,safety,people,andprofit)ofmultipleprojects,multi-phasedprojects,orlargecomplexprojects,deliveringworkontimeandwithincompanyprofitguidelines.

ASeniorProjectManagerhasdemonstratedtheabilitytosuccessfullymanagecomplexprojectsand/orincreasedprojectvolumefrompreconstructionthroughcloseout.TheSPMcreatesandmaintainsdetailedconstructionschedules,projectdocuments,andbudgets,andimplementsteamstrategiesalignedwithcompanygoals.

SeniorPMsarealsoexpectedtomanageandmentorprojectteammembers(includingProjectCoordinators,ProjectEngineers,AssistantProjectManagers,and/orProjectManagersasassigned).

ThispositionistailoredtoBEAR’srenewableenergyworkstream,requiringstrongportfoliothinkingandconsistentexecutionacrossmultipleconcurrentprojects.TheSPMwill:

• Leadrenewableenergyprojectswithastrongfocusonprofitability,scheduleperformance,andstakeholdercommunication,whilecoordinatingcloselywiththeSuperintendent/fieldleadership.
• Supportrenewableenergygrowthbybuildingandmaintainingrelationshipswithclients,subcontractors,vendors,andindustrypartners,andbyhelpingexpandthevendornetworkforamorecompetitiverenewableenergydeliverymodel.

KeyResponsibilities

Leadership,Planning&Delivery

• Develop,drive,andimplementprojectgoalsastheprojectlead.
• Ensurethereisadetailedplanforhowtoachieveeachstageoftheproject.
• Createandmaintainprojectschedules,including3-weeklook-aheads.
• CoordinateconstructionfieldstaffwiththeprojectSuperintendent/fieldmanager.
• Ensureprojectsareclosedoutonatimelybasis.

FinancialManagement&Profitability

• EnsureprojectsmeetfinancialtargetsandaligntoBEAR’sprofitexpectations.
• Manageallprojectfinancialsandensureprofitabilityforassignedprojects.
• Managechangeeventsandprocessprimeandsubcontractorcontractchangeorders.
• Assistwithtimelycompletionofaccounting-relatedduties(invoicing,collections,APinvoiceapprovals,contractissuance,reporting).
• Prepareandassistwithprojectestimatingasneeded.

Preconstruction,Contracts&Procurement

• Supportthepreconstructionprocess.
• Createscopeofworkassignmentsforsubcontractorsandvendors.
• Negotiatesubcontractswithexternalvendorstoreachprofitableagreements.
• Determineneededresources(workforce,equipment,andmaterials)withattentiontobudgetarylimitations.
• Worktofindnewvendorsandsuppliersforexpandingmarketstocreateamorecompetitiveproject.

Permits,Compliance,QA/QC&Reporting

• Workwithengineeringandpreconstructiontoobtainpermitsandlicensesfromappropriateauthorities.
• Monitorcompliancetoapplicablecodes,QA/QCpolicies,andperformancestandards.
• Ensureadherencetoallquality,health,andsafetystandardsandreportissuesinatimelybasis.
• Prepare,review,andsubmitinternalandexternaljobstatusreporting;evaluateprogressandpreparedetailedreports(includingprofitstatus).
• Ensurereportingiscompletedtimelyandaccuratelyusingcompanysanctionedsoftware.

Client&PartnerRelationshipManagement

• Developandmaintainworkingrelationshipswithclients,subcontractors,vendors,andotheragenciesoftheprojectteam.
• Collaboratewithengineers,architects,consultants,estimators,andotherpartnerstodetermineprojectspecifications.
• Continuetobuildandmaintainrelationshipswithclientsanddesignteamstosupportastableandgrowingbacklog.
• Developworkingrelationshipswithindustrypartnersbycontactingnewandexistingcustomerstodiscussneedsandnurturerelationshipsforfutureprojects.

PeopleLeadership

• Manageandmentorprojectteammembers;provideoversightandtrainingforassignedProjectCoordinators,ProjectEngineers,andAssistantProjectManagers.
