Renewable Energy Sales Agent - Capital Region

This position is based in Albany, NY.

Summary

The Sales Agent will generate face-to-face interactions with prospective customers to promote and sell products and services. The primary goal is to acquire and enroll new customers. Sales Agents will work to meet targets set by the Sales Team Lead and Area Manager, collaborate with team members to optimize sales strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, learn market trends, and support marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Discuss and match customer needs with suitable price plans and promotions based on provided information.
  • Achieve and maintain performance metrics while delivering excellent service.
  • Navigate order entry systems efficiently.
  • Follow compliance standards to secure customer information.
  • Adhere to site rules, safety regulations, and company policies.
Education

A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Skills

Preferred 1-3 years of sales or customer-facing experience, or relevant work experience. Key skills include:

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear communication with customers, maintaining composure
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Physical Requirements

May require occasional lifting.

Working Conditions

Work onsite within assigned locations or events, including evenings and weekends. This is a part-time, commission-based position with potential incentives and targets set by team leaders or area managers.

Compensation
