Job summary

Geronimo Power's Development team is seeking a Project Development Intern for Summer 2027. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage technologies.

The intern will work closely with project developers and cross-functional teams to support project advancement activities throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Engineering, Economics, Urban and Regional Planning, Agriculture, Public Policy, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support financial modeling and analysis for financing and strategic transactions.
• Assist with project tracking, action item management, and development schedules.
• Provide administrative support for project meetings, including agenda preparation, note-taking, and follow-up coordination.
• Maintain internal project databases, trackers, and documentation.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project summaries for management and stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis related to project development activities, permitting requirements, and market trends.
• Support community engagement efforts with local governmental units and stakeholders.
• Coordinate information requests across Development, Real Estate, Permitting, Engineering, and other teams.
• Attend project meetings, public events, and stakeholder discussions as appropriate.
• Support project risk tracking, issue resolution, and milestone reporting.
