Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Survey Field Intern to join a field and office survey team supporting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys for renewable energy projects. This role offers practical application of surveying coursework on real-world infrastructure projects.

The candidate will assist in field crew operations, data collection, and note-taking, with travel of 2–3 weeks at a time, while adhering to safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Engineering Technology.
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys and boundary analysis.
• Experience with topographic surveys and construction staking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in operating the field survey crew.
• Collect field data and locate features.
• Record accurate surveying notes.
• Travel 2–3 weeks at a time.
• Adhere to Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies.
