Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an enthusiastic Survey Intern to join a field and office team supporting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys for renewable energy projects.

You will learn GPS, robotic total station, and drone data collection while assisting licensed surveyors with processing, drafting, and QC of surveys. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with professional interaction with clients and teammates.
• Willingness to learn in a flexible, cross-disciplinary environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork in varied outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist survey crews with boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS surveys on wind, solar, and storage sites.
• Operate and help maintain GPS, robotic total station, and data collection equipment.
• Support construction staking for access roads, turbine and panel foundations, and underground systems.
• Process field data and assist drafting deliverables in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research deed, plat, and right-of-way records supporting boundary retracement and easement prep.
• Travel to project sites, often rural or remote, for field data collection.
