Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Baltimore County, MD office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Renewable Energy team in Towson. This is not a remote position. The Renewable Energy group handles pipeline, solar site, battery storage, and EV charging design.

You will help with project due diligence, permitting, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with clients and jurisdictions. Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
  • P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Experience in Energy discipline including design, permitting, and software applications.
  • Experience with task management, concept design, and project management tasks.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
  • Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Baltimore County, Maryland (MD) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Renewable Energy team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Our Renewable Energy team works on projects including:
    • Pipeline Design
    • Solar Site Design
    • Battery Storage Design
    • EV Charging Design
  • Project Due Diligence and Site Constraints
  • Jurisdictional Permitting and Agency Coordination
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects
  • You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors

Base Salary Range:

  • $90,000 - $120,000
  • Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
