Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering related field required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project or design management positions.

• Ability to direct the design team to positive outcomes for the project.
• Hands-on field experience in design and construction is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with photovoltaic systems is preferred.
• Enjoys training others and is a team builder.
• Good computer skills including PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design function to help teams achieve business strategy and project goals.
• Define, schedule, and monitor design deliverables to meet quality and schedule.
• Manage the RFI (design issues) process between Owner and team.
• Host value analysis sessions for cost-effective approaches.
• Coordinate with Owner vendors to ensure requirements are incorporated.
• Develop RFPs for design firm responses or design-build candidates.
• Lead the development of pursuit designs.
• Prepare designer and subcontractor scopes of work to avoid gaps.
• Coordinate designs to control budgets and communicate via trend logs.
• Build strong relationships with Executive Management and Owners/Engineers.
• Support workload and workflow management systems.
• Lead continuous improvement and document lessons learned.
• Engage with project teams to support field operations and coordination.
