Job summary

Georgia Power, a Southern Company subsidiary, is hiring a Data Analyst in Atlanta, GA to support Operations & Maintenance analytics for Renewable & Resilient Generation facilities. You will build energy models, review fleet performance, and drive data-driven improvements across 5GW of generation.

The role requires experience with data management and analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI), strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with diverse partners and leaders.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Data Analytics, or related degree strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of renewable energy and solar/BESS tech is preferred.
• Proficient in project management and communicating technical details to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
• Experience integrating and visualizing data from multiple sources.
• Experience with data analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Databricks and GitHub experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and pattern recognition; team-oriented.
• Ability to work with diverse internal/external partners and leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and support O&M data trend analysis.
• Generate complex energy models to predict renewable output vs actual.
• Review solar fleet performance and maintenance data for improvements.
• Assess performance goals against data sets to ensure targets.
• Engage with industry on BESS/DER trends and best practices.
• Serve as SME for Renewable & Resilient Generation data.
• Support fleet and new facilities with data-related needs.
• Collaborate with other organizations for efficiencies and strategy.
