Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Operations & Maintenance analytics professional to support Renewable & Resilient Generation facilities after COD. The role emphasizes fleet performance analysis, identifying operational gaps, and building complex energy models to optimize performance across 5GW of generation over the next five years.

You will engage with industry partners on BESS and DER trends, review solar fleet data, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Data Analytics, or related degree strongly preferred.
• Renewable energy knowledge and solar/BESS tech is preferred.
• Proficient in project management and communicating technical details to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; data access, integration, analysis and visualization.
• Experience with data analytics platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
• Databricks and GitHub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and support O&M data trend analysis.
• Generate energy models to predict renewable output vs actual output.
• Review solar fleet performance and maintenance data for improvements.
• Assess performance goals against data sets and align targets.
• Engage with industry for BESS/DER trends and best practices.
• Serve as SME for Renewable & Resilient Generation performance data.
• Support existing and new facilities post-COD with data needs.
• Collaborate with other Southern Company groups for efficiencies.
