Job summary

University of California, San Francisco seeks academic nephrologists to join the Renal Section at SFVAHCS. Positions are appointed in Adjunct, Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series, with rank determined by qualifications and interests.

Ideal candidates will have a medical degree, license, and board certification or eligibility in Nephrology, and demonstrated excellence in clinical care, medical education, or research. Appointment at the VA is required.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree and valid medical license.
• Board certification in Nephrology or eligibility at time of appointment.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care; education for clinician educators; and research for clinician investigators.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nephrology clinical care to patients at UCSF and SFVAHCS.
• Contribute to medical education of students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in scholarly activities and collaborate on translational or health services research.
