UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Renal Medicine/Nephrology team in Worcester, Massachusetts. The role blends outpatient nephrology with inpatient ESRD management, dialysis rounding, and care coordination across rehabilitation facilities, with support from a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Masters degree from an accredited PA/NP program is required.
• Eligible or current Massachusetts license, with national certification.
• Massachusetts CDS and DEA registrations required.
• Preferred: 3–5 years APP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a nephrology clinic with outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, including ESRD management, dialysis rounding, and care coordination with rehabilitation facilities.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care, education, and research within a nationally recognized academic medical center.
• Maintain use of Epic EMR and integrated technology for coordinated, efficient patient care.
• Share inpatient ESRD coverage with APP colleagues and participate in weekend dialysis coverage as needed.

Education

Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Massachusetts license, national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable)

Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Registration
