Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Registered Dietitian to support nutritional management for in-center and home patients. You will educate patients, perform assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize renal nutrition and outcomes.

They require at least 1 year of clinical nutrition experience, with renal nutrition knowledge preferred. Travel between facilities may be involved, and licensure must be current.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with current licensure.
• Renal nutrition knowledge preferred; BC-renal encouraged.
• Minimum 1 year of professional clinical nutrition experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient knowledge of diet and kidney disease and educates on the diet's impact on treatment.
• Provides patient-specific education to patient/family on nutrition status and lab results.
• Completes nutritional assessments and participates in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Calculates diet prescriptions according to standard of practice.
• Documents progress notes and maintains medical records per FMCNA policies.
• Monitors malnutrition risk and adjusts therapy; collaborates on interventions.
• Reviews labs and communicates changes to physicians and facility staff.
• Participates in QAI, team meetings, and patient education coordination.
