Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Renal Dialysis unit at Lexington Medical Center. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week and a pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour.

You will apply the nursing process to assess and treat patients, participate in quality initiatives, maintain accurate EHR documentation, promote safety, and pursue ongoing professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state or state privileges.
• BLS certification and ongoing credential updates.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and delegation within the team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
