Job summary

VA Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a non-supervisory Registered Nurse (RN) for Renal Case Management within the Medicine Service Line. The position is located at the University Drive Campus and involves providing patient-centered renal care per VA policies.

The role requires an approved nursing degree, US licensure, and English proficiency. Preference for case management and renal experience; telework is ad hoc at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with US licensure.
• Foreign education requires degree equivalency validation for licensure.
• GNT exemption possible at entry step while pursuing licensure.
• Licensure must be full, active, and unrestricted in a US state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care per established standards and policies in the Renal service line.
• Ensure timely, safe patient care and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate with the RC I RN team to retain Veteran care across VA facilities.
• Provide patient and family education and act as a patient advocate.
