Job summary

NIVA Health is seeking a licensed MD/DO to lead remote wound-care management across SC and NC. You will supervise nurse practitioners, oversee telemedicine visits, and ensure medical necessity for advanced therapies.

Responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with payors to credentialed care. A flexible schedule and malpractice coverage are provided to support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold MD or DO with active, unrestricted SC license.
• Must be licensed and practice within South Carolina and North Carolina.
• CWSP certification preferred; strong payer credentialing experience.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telemedicine consultations and initial wound assessments with plan of care.
• Review wound photos and measurements to track healing.
• Direct dressing, offloading, compression strategies, debridement plans, and infection management.
• Determine candidacy for advanced modalities and document medical necessity for payors.
• Provide supervision to Nurse Practitioners performing in-home visits for quality care.
• Escalate wounds requiring vascular, surgical, or higher level care when needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold governance standards.
• Foster a compassionate, patient-centered atmosphere.
