Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, interfaith setting accepting diverse beliefs.
• Effective listening and interaction with clients, employees and families; able to present to groups.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and ministry work.
• Diplomatic, patient and courteous; handles confidential issues with discretion.
• Excellent oral and written communication; maintains emotional stability under stress.
• Analytical skills to identify problems and propose solutions; follows policy.
• Proficient with Google Suites and Microsoft Office; quick to learn new software.
• Must have active state driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a messenger and conveyer of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interacts with companies, their employees, and the community with integrity.
• Conducts ministry activities and makes regular site visits, typically weekly.
• Visits employees or immediate family at hospitals, nursing homes, or homes.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions on personal or family issues and offers referrals.
• Assists in planning or attending funerals and post-employment care as needed.
• Provides literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
• Represents the chaplain services to clients in faith-based ministry contexts.
• Participates in new employee orientation about Employee Care Services.
