Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Lost-Time Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze and adjudicate complex claims for clients under NY jurisdiction. You will determine benefits due, conduct investigations, and ensure timely processing in line with service expectations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Education and licensing: HS diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certification as applicable.
• Experience: 3–5 years in claims management or equivalent.
• Public Entity Workers Compensation preferred; NY jurisdiction knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims to determine exposure and resolve appropriately.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with claimant and client.
• Report claims to excess carrier and respond to directions professionally.
