Sedgwick is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze Lost-Time WC claims for NY jurisdiction with subrogation experience and NY licensing required. The role supports hybrid work near the Syracuse, NY area, with an emphasis on adjudication, negotiation, and client communication.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in claims management, a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: NY
• Licensing: NY

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing Lost-Time Workers' Compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate per client service requirements.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions in a professional and timely manner.
