Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Workers' Compensation to adjudicate complex WC claims for clients, applying investigative rigor and negotiation skills. This hybrid role permits in-office collaboration and remote work, with jurisdiction support for MD & NJ and NY/NJ telecommuting options.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in claims management, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and home-state licensing.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Home state licensing preferred.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: MD and NJ.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and benefits.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and responding to directions.
