Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers' Compensation to analyze and adjudicate complex claims across MD and NJ jurisdictions. You will determine benefits due and ensure timely, accurate processing in line with client service requirements.

This role offers hybrid/remote work options (2 days in office, 3 days from home within 25 miles; fully remote outside that radius). Strong WC knowledge and negotiation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensing: Home state preferred; Jurisdiction knowledge MD and NJ.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and adjudicating workers compensation claims to determine benefits.
• Negotiating settlement within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and responding to directions promptly.
