Sedgwick is seeking a claims examiner to analyze Lost-Time Workers' Compensation claims for our clients, determining benefits due and adjudicating claims to meet service expectations and client requirements.

The role involves investigation, settlement negotiations within authority, and clear communication with claimants and clients. Education requirements include a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, NY licensing is optional, with 2 years of claims management experience.

Qualifications

• Education/Licensing: 2 years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• 2 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Analyzing and processing claims through action plans to resolution by investigating and gathering information.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions in a professional manner.

Formation

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree preferred

Professional certification preferred
