Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to analyze mid- and higher-level workers' compensation claims, determine benefits due, and ensure adjudication aligns with company standards. The role includes managing subrogation and settlements while coordinating return-to-work efforts and ensuring timely claim payments.

Responsibilities include filing documentation with state agencies, negotiating settlements, and maintaining clear communication with claimants and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Home state license required.
• 1 year of claims management experience.
• Prior handling of Florida-only indemnity claims.
• Knowledge of Florida jurisdiction and licensing requirements.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mid- and higher-level workers' compensation claims to determine benefits and adjudicate within standards.
• Develop and manage claims action plans to resolution, coordinate return-to-work efforts, and approve payments.
• Approve and process assigned claims, determine benefits due, and manage action plans per client contracts.
• Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients.
• Support the organization’s quality programs and travel as required.
