Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience adjusting Workers Compensation Claims in LA, TX and MS.
• Hold an adjusters license and remain current with CEUs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with workers compensation laws.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge and understanding of claim progression.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims from filing to resolution.
• Record and update claim notes, interview claimants and witnesses, and determine liability.
• Set reserves, calculate lost wages, and administer disability and medical benefits.
• Review medical bills, coordinate with providers, and pursue subrogation when appropriate.
• Collaborate with legal counsel, advocate for early return-to-work, and attend conferences as needed.
• Communicate decisions to claimants, employers, and medical providers; maintain regular correspondence.
