Job summary

The Squires Group is seeking a Workday Payroll/HCM Consultant (Workday Certification Required) to support a large-scale implementation for a major university system transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday. This hands-on role focuses on Payroll and Core HCM configuration, requirements translation, and collaboration with client teams.

The position is remote with limited travel to the client site in New York and requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card and the ability to pass the background check.

Qualifications

• Active Workday Payroll Certification.
• Active Workday Core HCM Certification.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workday Payroll and HCM implementations.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Payroll and Core HCM.
• Translate business requirements into Workday solutions with the team.
• Participate in meetings to drive design and configuration decisions.
• Support tenant build and configuration activities.
• Develop and maintain user stories and implementation docs.
• Identify and resolve configuration and testing defects.
• Maintain design and RAID documents as progress.
• Create configuration/workbooks and business process documentation.
• Update Gap Definition Documents as requirements evolve.
• Collaborate with teams on payroll/HCM integration touchpoints.
• Assist with testing, issue analysis, and defect resolution.
• Identify process improvements using Workday functionality.
• Provide knowledge transfer to client stakeholders.
