Job summary

Aquent is seeking an experienced contract WordPress Developer to build, launch, and execute a CMS migration from HubSpot to custom WordPress. You will work with the marketing lead to implement Claude Design files, develop responsive themes, and ensure a smooth production cutover.

Responsibilities include embedding Marketo forms, Munchkin tracking, and preserving SEO via redirects, while configuring hosting, SSL, and DNS with GoDaddy. Remote role with 8–9 weeks timeline and 25–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Experience building custom PHP themes, Gutenberg blocks, HTML/CSS/JS.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted workflows.
• Marketo integration: embedding forms, hidden fields, and tracking scripts.
• CMS migration experience: migrating from HubSpot to WordPress with SEO preservation.
• Infrastructure & DNS: hosting setup, SSL, and GoDaddy DNS cutovers.
• Excellent communication with marketing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Custom WordPress Build: create responsive themes, templates, and Gutenberg blocks from Claude Design files.
• Local & staging development and marketing review/testing.
• Embed and test Marketo forms and tracking scripts; ensure leads sync to Marketo/Salesforce.
• Migrate content from HubSpot to WordPress including posts, pages, and media.
• Implement full 301 redirects and preserve SEO attributes (metadata, sitemaps, canonicals).
• Configure production hosting, SSL, and DNS cutover on GoDaddy.
• Conduct cross-device QA, accessibility audits (WCAG 2.1 AA), and speed optimizations.
• Provide handoff documentation for post-launch updates to marketing.
