Remote is seeking an experienced WordPress & AI Developer to design, migrate, and maintain client websites for North American cannabis brands. You will translate designs into responsive pages, leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, and ensure accessibility, performance, and compliance across multiple platforms.

Applicants should demonstrate 4+ years of web development, strong WordPress/Elementor skills, and a portfolio of high-quality sites.

Competenze

At least four years of professional web development experience.
Demonstrated expertise in WordPress development and page builders, particularly Elementor.
Strong portfolio of visually appealing, responsive, high-performing websites.
Experience managing multiple websites and development requests in a digital marketing agency or multi-client environment.
Experience working with US-based clients in a digital marketing setting.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ability to write/debug code independently.
Hands-on use of AI development tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) daily with concrete workflows.
Experience with additional CMS/e-commerce platforms (Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal) and cannabis-specific systems (Blaze, Treez).
Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals including analytics, structure data, redirects, indexing, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and implementing accessible experiences.
Familiarity with migrations, DNS management, Cloudflare, reverse proxies, and third-party integrations.
Strong visual judgment and detail-oriented work across brands.
Clear written English and ability to work in a fully remote, asynchronous team.
Preference for candidates with cannabis, wellness, or regulated retail sector experience.

Mansioni

Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages using WordPress and Elementor.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, convert designs into pages, debug issues, and automate repetitive tasks.
Manage high volumes of maintenance requests across multiple client accounts, including content updates and plugin management.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across CMSs using PHP, CSS, JS, and related tech.
Adapt layouts to meet diverse brand guidelines across multiple client brands.
Work with cannabis e-commerce platforms like Blaze and Treez; integrate Dutchie, Jane, COVA, Breadstack.
Assist migrations, DNS configuration, Cloudflare setup, and reverse-proxy tasks.
Implement technical SEO improvements: GA4, GTM, schema markup, redirects, indexing, Core Web Vitals.
Ensure WCAG-compliant accessibility and state-specific cannabis disclaimers.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for builds and integrations.
Prioritize tasks across multiple sites while maintaining code quality and delivery timelines.
Collaborate asynchronously with developers and account teams; document requirements clearly.
