Job summary

Day Wireless Systems seeks a System Design Professional to design and develop complex wireless systems for in-building environments. You will apply differential equations, calculus, and statistics to create scalable, robust designs and work with cross-functional teams to meet performance requirements.

The role involves hands-on design of LMR and DAS networks, production of construction drawings, BOMs, and coordination with AHJs and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, Public Safety DAS, DAS).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using iBwave for wireless system design and modeling.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using AutoCAD for engineering design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop in-building wireless communication systems, including Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS, and LMR radio systems.
• Produce wireless system designs and layouts using AutoCAD and related design tools.
• Develop complete construction drawing packages, including plans, details, riser diagrams, and installation documents.
• Create, review, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including Architects, Engineers (A/E), General Contractors (GCs), and specialty contractors.
• Interface with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), radio system owners, wireless carriers, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support during system commissioning, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting activities.
• Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and other construction-related documentation.
• Support project planning activities, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline
