Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus is seeking a Systems Administrator II to ensure IT infrastructure is available, reliable, secure, and stable. You will monitor systems, serve as a focal point for support, and help plan direction for the information systems infrastructure in a dynamic, security‑minded environment.

Requirements include 2+ years of systems administration experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of systems administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, configures, and maintains systems including installing and testing new releases.
• Monitors and evaluates operating efficiency, analyze performance and tuning.
• Analyzes system problems to identify problem areas.
• Mitigates application and operating system vulnerabilities to ensure security of information systems.
• Follows established procedures required for efficient management of the infrastructure.
• Installs new or enhanced applications and/or hardware; assist in the installation of servers.
• Manages medium enterprise projects according to division standards and requirements.
• Serves as a subject matter expert within one's area of responsibility regarding information systems infrastructure.
