Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Classified Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in a secure on-site environment. You will administer a range of critical data systems, including servers, desktops, and storage devices, ensuring security, backups, and recovery plans while guiding junior teammates.

Candidates should have 5+ years in systems administration, extensive OS experience (Windows, Linux, Unix), and strong IT security knowledge. Travel for upgrades or training may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in IT/CS or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, Unix and peripheral equipment.
• Strong IT security knowledge including encryption and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain classified computer systems hardware, software, information systems, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and upgrade system hardware and software for performance, security and compliance.
• Manage operating systems, ensure updates, security and efficiency.
• Develop and implement security and disaster recovery procedures.
• Mentor and train junior team members; provide guidance.
• Document configurations, upgrades, and procedures.
