Job summary

Travelers Insurance is seeking a Wholesale/E&S Commercial Lines Underwriter to evaluate risk applications for underwriting acceptability and pricing determinations. You will manage portfolio profitability while partnering with Retail Agents to provide new and renewal products tailored to client needs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Commercial Lines underwriting, knowledge of coverage forms, and a valid Producer's License in their home state.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial line underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of commercial lines coverage forms and pricing.
• Current producer license in home state and ability to work with agents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal submissions from Retail Agents to determine underwriting and pricing within guidelines.
• Develop understanding of state underwriting strategies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare premium quotations for new and renewal business submissions.
• Engage with agents to close transactions and provide guidance.
• Maintain portfolio profitability and provide accurate documentation for risk decisions.
