Job summary

Varicent in the United States seeks a proactive Web Developer to join a remote team delivering high-performance websites. You will own sprint tasks, improve mobile responsiveness, implement analytics and SEO, and collaborate with marketing, design, and content to drive conversions.

You’ll work with HubSpot CMS, HTML/CSS/JS, GA4 and GTM, and aim for fast, accessible experiences aligned with our brand. This role requires EST business hours and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on web development experience with HubSpot CMS or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (React/Vue).
• Experience with back-end development, API integrations, and database management.
• GA4, Google Tag Manager, and event tracking setup expertise.
• SEO best practices, technical SEO, and structured data markup.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility and testing.
• Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Solution-oriented, proactive problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and project management across teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sprint tasks are up-to-date, completed on time, and you take ownership of projects.
• Improve mobile responsiveness and accessibility.
• Collaborate with Content and Product Marketing to optimize digital journeys for value.
• Work with designers, content creators, and developers to build conversion-focused websites.
• Coordinate with the senior web developer to align sprint priorities and execution.
• Translate brand and product strategy into engaging digital experiences.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements for sprints.
• Leverage Hotjar or similar for user insights to optimize web experiences.
• Implement and manage tracking codes and events with GTM/GA4.
• Improve website speed by reducing render-blocking resources and optimizing JS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues for stability, security, and performance.
• Maintain documentation of development processes for knowledge sharing.
