Job summary

GFT is seeking a Proposal Manager (Water/Wastewater) to join the Business Development team. This remote/hybrid role can be performed from multiple U.S. locations, including Dallas, TX.

The team focuses on growth, client management, and strategic capture planning to win new work. The role leads high-priority proposals, guides capture planning, and coordinates with MarCom and operational leaders. 8+ years in proposals and Water/Wastewater experience are preferred; strong MS Office and InDesign

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of proposal experience in the AEC industry.
• Experience in the Water/Wastewater market preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign.
• Capture planning concepts and best practices.
• 2 years of experience supporting capture planning across multiple pursuits.
• Superior organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead proposal interview preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority proposals, including multiple concurrent efforts.
• Serve as the single responsible manager on each proposal effort.
• Oversee cross-team coordination within BD units.
• Interpret requirements and verify compliance across proposal elements.
• Develop win themes and client-focused messaging.
• Create detailed proposal and interview prep schedules.
• Lead kickoff and milestone review meetings.
• Lead authoring for executive summaries and outlines.
• Prepare for client meetings and internal debriefings to inform strategy.
• Drive interview strategy and coaching; mentor junior staff.
