Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to design treatment facilities and perform hydraulic analyses. You will prepare permit applications, represent the firm in client and regulatory meetings, and conduct site assessments for upgrades. This remote-friendly role supports multiple projects with quarterly travel as needed.

Independent work is key, with collaboration across teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions for infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent related field from an EAC/ABET Accredited University.
• PE Licensure Required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, or similar software required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, lift stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic simulations and process calculations, prepare engineering reports and permit applications.
• Represent Atwell in client and regulatory meetings and conduct site assessments of existing facilities.
• Develop design solutions for new and upgraded treatment infrastructure and manage multiple project deadlines remotely.
• Travel on a quarterly basis as project needs arise; interact with operators, contractors, and clients.

Job Description

The Water/Wastewater (W/WW) Engineer plans and designs water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, lift stations, and related infrastructure. This role performs hydraulic simulations and process calculations, prepares engineering reports and permit applications, and supports permitting and regulatory compliance efforts across state and federal agencies. The W/WW Engineer represents Atwell in client and regulatory meetings, conducts site assessments of existing facilities, and develops design solutions for new and upgraded treatment infrastructure, working independently in a remote environment while managing multiple project deadlines. This is a remote-friendly role with occasional site travel.

Qualifications

Pay Range : $100,000 USD - $116,000 USD
