Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and manage web application firewalls across client environments, ensuring secure and reliable protection. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and assist with change requests to uphold web app integrity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, automate with Terraform, and leverage Cloudflare and Imperva to optimize security posture across client applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in web application security operations focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to establish effective security controls for web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents, perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents promptly.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance.
